See the coders DONE document for some very recent news.
Made the servlet port configurable.
Moved and expanded the description of version numbers so
that novice users can find it and understand it.
Renamed some fields that Java 1.5 didn't like.
More font size tweaking, sigh.
Last weeks release was forced out early by the usual interference in my life by
the powers that be. I wanted to release in December. Naturally this meant that
a few bugs snuck through and some pages survived the remodeling unmolested. I
think that I have mentioned elsewhere that some documentation had been left
un-updated and will be updated Real Soon Now. Other planned changes have been
put off, and will happen a bit at a time over the next few months. Things in
the DONE document have yet to be moved out.
The new parameter parsing stuff broke the skinURL parameter, which is now fixed.
Applets using SquealStuff no longer need to download Squeal. SquealStuff itself
is now smaller. Database connections are now a bit more robust. All pages are
now in the new look. Some exit issues have been dealt with. The build script
has been tweaked a little, with more tweaking to come.
A lot of version numbers and dates had gone two years without changing when they
should have. While they have now been updated, some of the dates were changed to
an arbitrary date. I have started work on a system to automatically update
version numbers and dates.
There has not been a release for way too long. matrix-DFS has been re-targeted and renamed to matrix-RAD. This web site has been remodelled to reflect these big changes.
